We are very active in promoting literacy and helping others provide programs. Some of our initiatives include:

The Brokenhead Literacy Group

The Certified Literate Community Project was initially create by Literacy Partners with cooperation from the Beausejour & District Chamber of Commerce and representatives from many organizations and citizens. Out of that effort, we are continuing on as the Brokenhead Literacy Group. Our focus is to help others provide literacy programs, and to coordinate between all program providers.

Adult Literacy Programs, ACL and SEO

We are proud to help these organizations to acquire special funding through grants to extend and unify the services they provide for literacy.

The Learn Line

Because people may need help and aren't sure where to get it, we created the learn line which assists people get help with immediate tasks or guides them to appropriate community resources. We are looking to reactivate the Learn Line in the future as part of a comprehensive independent learning program.

Family Literacy Programs

Our community already has a lot of great family literacy programs. Just visit the Brokenhead River Regional Library to find out more. Part of our mandate is to encourage participation in these programs. We're happy to report they are going strong.
